AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Limited which operates the Iduapriem Mine has donated five desktop computers and accessories to Fiaseman Senior High School (FIASEC) in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality.
The donation is part of efforts to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the company’s host communities.
Iduapriem Mine’s donation valued at ¢26,000 is in fulfilment of a pledge made by the Mine at the fourth Congregation of FIASEC Old Students Association in December 2018.
It is expected to enhance the teaching and learning of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the school and also assist management in record keeping and other information management.

Presenting the items, Derrick Omari, Manager – Information Systems, said the Mine is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of people in its host communities and believes education holds the key to realising this objective.
He indicated that the Iduapriem Mine would not relent in efforts to provide the needed support to improve educational standards in the municipality as it works to create a sustainable future of shared value with all stakeholders, especially the youth.
Receiving the items, Assistant Headmistress in charge of Administration, Florence Tawiah, expressed gratitude to the company for the gesture and assured that they would put the computers to good use and ensure proper care at all times.
