Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has emphasised that the party has a distinguished and consistent track record of fulfilling its promises to the people of Ghana.
He assured the public that a presidency under his leadership would build on this “proud tradition,” introducing fresh, innovative ideas and practical solutions to further the country’s development.
Dr Bawumia made these remarks following the commissioning of the Walewale Watermelon Processing Plant on Friday, 22nd November, during his campaign tour across northern Ghana, which included visits to the Walewale and Salaga North Constituencies.
The watermelon processing facility was constructed under the One District One Factory programme, a project for which Dr Bawumia had the honour of cutting the sod in December 2019.
In a post on Facebook, Dr Bawumia highlighted the significance of the new plant, noting that it would create at least 400 direct jobs and thousands more within the wider value chain.
He stressed that the NPP’s longstanding reputation for delivering on its promises was evident in such initiatives, and he expressed confidence that a Bawumia-led government would continue this legacy of progress.
“We have a strong history of delivering on our commitments to the people of Ghana,” Dr Bawumia wrote. “With your support on 7th December, a Bawumia Presidency will build upon this tradition with innovative solutions. Together, it is Possible!”
