Kumasi Academy has qualified for the semi-finals stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) after brilliantly dominating colleagues Armed Forces Senior High Technical School (AFSHTS) and Apam Senior High School (ASHS).
Armed Forces put up a great game in Round 1 to earn a tie with Kumasi Academy.
They each earned 17 points, 4 points clear of Apam SHS, who came in with 13 points.

However, representatives of the Ashanti Region-based school, Benjamin Harris Yeboah and Emmanuel Osei outmatched their opponents in the subsequent rounds of the quarter-finals contest.

Round 3's 'Problem of the day' proved a tough feat for Apam SHS who failed to answer any of the questions correctly, hence gaining zero points.
Kumasi Academy and Armed Forces SHTS however amassed 4 points each.

Apam SHS upped their game to secure 10 points in Round 4.
The True or False answer demanding round landed the Central Region-based school at 22 points, with Kumasi Academy in a clear lead with 41 points and Armed Forces SHTS coming in second with 30 points.

Kumaca sealed their victory at the end of the contest with 47 points, leaving Armed Forces SHTS and Apam SHS with 33 and 25 points respectively.
