One person is injured in a clash between national security operatives and residents of Manso Mpatasie in the Amansie South District of Ashanti Region.
He has been admitted to St. Martin Catholic Hospital, Agroyesum.
The incident occurred when the security officers allegedly made attempts to track down parked excavators believed to have been used for illegal mining, sparking a confrontation with aggrieved local residents and miners.

The angry residents believe the excavators are being targeted unfairly, as they were parked at homes.
Convener of the aggrieved residents, Kwaku Bobie, claimed that the security officers' actions were unlawful since the excavators were not found at mining sites.
Assembly Member for the community, George Acheampong, expressed concerns about the recent activities of security agencies against small-scale miners.
He stated that attacking individuals at their homes could undermine government efforts to combat illegal mining.
Some youth in the community appealed to the government to consider the plight of the youth and put in place proper measures to provide job opportunities in the mining sector.
