The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Ayariga, has been appointed as the chairman of the Technical Working Committee for the National Apprenticeship Programme.
The committee was inaugurated today, Wednesday, March 19, by the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, at the premises of the Ministry.
Speaking at the inauguration, Mr Opare Addo emphasised the importance of the committee in ensuring the effective implementation of the apprenticeship programme.

“This initiative is crucial in equipping our young people with the skills needed to thrive in the job market.
The Technical Working Committee, under the capable leadership of Mr Ayariga, will play a key role in shaping the programme’s direction and success,” he stated.

Osman Ayariga expressed his appreciation for the appointment and pledged to work diligently to achieve the programme’s objectives.
“I am honoured to chair this committee and contribute to an initiative that has the potential to transform the lives of many young Ghanaians.”

“We will ensure that the programme delivers on its mandate and provides real opportunities for skills development and employment,” he assured.

The Technical Working Committee comprises industry experts, policymakers, and education specialists who will oversee the programme’s design, implementation, and evaluation.

The government has committed to providing the necessary resources and support to ensure its smooth execution, ultimately benefiting thousands of young people across the country.
