The Member of Parliament (MP) for Mpraeso, Davis Ansah Opoku, is advocating for collaboration between the passport office and Ghana Post to offer passport services directly to the doorsteps of Ghanaians.
The MP emphasised making passport services more accessible and convenient for all citizens.
During the debate to approve the budget estimates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which aims to support the ministry's initiatives and enhance its services.
As part of the ministry's plans for 2024, four additional Passport Application Centers will be constructed in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, and Tema.
These centres will help alleviate congestion and provide easier access to passport services nationwide.
The collaboration between the passport office and Ghana Post, along with the expansion of Passport Application Centers, will help the government's commitment to improving passport services and making them more convenient for Ghanaians.
