Newly elected President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has paid a courtesy call on dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.
JoyNews gathers that Kurt E.S Okraku met the artiste Friday at the Kwarleyz Apartments at Airport in Accra.

Mr Okraku, who was elected to head Ghana football exactly a week ago, met Shatta Wale as part of an aggressive campaign to bring all hands on deck to revive Ghana football.
The GFA President, a source told JoyNews, is a strong Shatta Wale fan and believes that artiste has the potential to bring the youth on board to revamp the country’s football.

Mr Okraku discussed with the artiste ways they use music and football to empower the youth and get them off the streets.
Shatta Wale, who was clearly elated by the meeting, said in a post on Facebook that he believes it is a new dawn for the country’s football.
“It's a dawn of a new beginning for Ghana football! I had a great time with the newly elected GFA President, Kurt E.S Okraku, discussing how to empower the youth and move Ghana football to the next level!” the ‘Taking Over’ hit singer said.

Shatta Wale also presented some chains to the new GFA boss, which JoyNews gathers symbolises hope.
Mr Okraku defeated five competitors on Friday to become only the second GFA President in 14 years.
He was confirmed as President with 93 of 120 votes after two rounds of voting failed to produce a clear winner.
His closest challenger, former Vice President of the FA, George Afriyie conceded defeat at the start of the third round of voting leaving delegates to affirm Okraku overwhelmingly.
