Kumasi came alive with vibrant cultural displays as the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, hosted the first Akwasidae Festival of 2025.
The event, steeped in tradition and heritage, drew dignitaries, including President John Mahama, prominent chiefs, and other distinguished guests.

President Mahama joined the Asantehene and other royals in celebrating the rich customs of the Ashanti Kingdom, showcasing a fusion of leadership and tradition.

Adorned in regal kente cloth and surrounded by the splendor of Akan culture, attendees paid homage to the heritage of Asanteman while engaging in moments of reflection and unity.

The festival was also marked by traditional drumming, dancing, and the presentation of gifts to the Asantehene.
