The Akwatia District Police Command on Thursday launched investigations into an alleged assault on Alhaji Masawudu Osman, the third National Vice Chairman of the opposition NPP at Akwatia in the Eastern Region.
A statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police, David Fianko Okyere, Public Affairs Officer of the Eastern South Region, said a Police Medical Form was issued to the complainant to seek treatment.
“He is to obtain a medical endorsement and return the form to the police to aid further investigations,” it said.
The case has since been referred to the Eastern South Regional Police Command for continuation of investigations.
