A police officer crushed himself and his three-year-old daughter to death on the Bekwai-Cape Coast road, Saturday.
Lance Corporal Augustine Asana who was said to be with the Cape Coast police, was driving his Toyota Corolla saloon car with number AS 1948-11 when the incident occurred.
According to Luv FM's Erastus Asare Donkor, accident happened late Saturday between Bogyawe and Sanfo Aduam close to Bekwai in the Ashanti Region.
Eyewitnesses said the officer attempted avoiding a pothole but lost control of the steering wheel and rammed into the tree.
Both the officer and his daughter died instantly. His wife, who was also in the car however, survived, Erastus reported.
Police are investigating what may have caused the crash.
