The Ghana Police Service has recovered a Toyota Highlander believed to have been used in the high-profile Adabraka Gold Jewellery Shop robbery that took place in November 2024 in Accra.
The retrieval forms part of ongoing investigations into the daring heist.
The vehicle was recovered from its owner, Abdul Samid Larry, popularly known as “Touch,” at Ashaiman, Lebanon, on Thursday, January 15.
Larry was arrested during the operation, and the Toyota Highlander, identified as a key exhibit in the robbery case, was impounded for further forensic examination.
Police say the suspect is currently in lawful custody and is assisting authorities with investigations. Efforts are ongoing to determine his precise role in the robbery and to trace other individuals allegedly involved in the crime.
The Adabraka Gold Jewellery Shop robbery, which drew widespread attention due to its audacity and scale, has remained under intense police scrutiny. Authorities have vowed to pursue all leads to ensure that justice is served.
The Ghana Police Service has reassured the public of its commitment to prosecuting the case and bringing all persons implicated to face the full rigours of the law.
