President John Mahama will deliver his New Year message to the nation tonight on the national broadcaster, Ghana Television at 8pm.
The President's New Year message will also be available on the Flagstaff House YouTube Channel and via Vimeo.
Meanwhile, many Christians will attend all-night church services to worship and pray to thank God for his mercies throughout the year and commit the New Year into His hands.
Others will make bonfires and gather around them, some will spend the time in clubs or pubs or stay home quietly.
Some people who shared their plans ahead of the New Years Eve Joy News’ Volta regional correspondent, Ivy Sertordzi said they will be in church. Others also said they will be at home for security reasons.
The situation was no different in the Central region as people prepare to worship God in churches tonight according to regional correspondent, Richard Kojo Nyarko’s report.
