Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly considering a summer swoop for promising Ghanaian defender Oscar Naasei Oppong.
The 20-year-old, who signed a contract extension with Granada in 2023 that keeps him at the club until 2026, has emerged as a target for Real Madrid’s Castilla side after an impressive season in Spain’s Segunda División.
According to Marca, Castilla coach Álvaro Arbeloa is said to have personally recommended the player.
Granada are reportedly open to negotiating a transfer, with an expected fee in the range of €450,000 to €1 million.
Oscar made his senior debut in October 2024 against Levante UD and went on to feature in nine La Liga 2 matches, along with a Copa del Rey appearance. Though still gaining experience at the senior level, his performances have been strong enough to attract interest from the Spanish champions.
He has also earned a call-up to Ghana’s U20 squad for the upcoming WAFU A and B tournament set for later this year.
