We refer to the story published on Myjoyonline.com dated 09-11-2013 about the presence of our products at a Hospital.
We wish to register our concern about the misleading story with regard to our operations which is totally unwarranted and unjustifiably presented to create a perception to tarnish the reputation of our company.
We wish to state clearly that, Tobinco is a law abiding company and we have not and will not distribute products against the directive of our regulatory agencies. Since the ban on our suppliers, we have not distributed any of those products. It is therefore false to state in your story that the pharmacist in question has a “stockpile’ of our products.
The recent BNI release on the issue...is a clear departure from what you published and we advise you to check the facts in the release.
We find the content and heading of the online news item to be defamatory and also causing unnecessary fear and panic in our customers. We also reject any insinuations of wrongdoing alluded to in the story.
We will continue to work with the authorities to resolve the recent issues to clear our good name.
We assure you and the public that we will continue to maintain the quality and integrity of our products to impact the health and wellbeing of society positively.
We request that you clarify the facts of the Goaso Hospital issue and also check the facts of such.
Signed:
J. Essuman
