A former aspirant of Municipal Chief Executive of Amenfi East, Frederick Kumah says although he has lost his bid to secure the position, he supports President Akufo-Addo’s decision.
In a statement, Mr Kumah urged his supporters to remain calm and rally behind the new MCE nominee, Frederick Korankye.
He stressed that the MCE race is not a “do-or-die” affair, thus, asked the youth to demonstrate decorum irrespective of the challenges and uncertainties that come with the process.
“Even though we weren’t successful at seeking the President’s mandate to serve the people of Amenfi East as MCE, I strongly believe we will have another chance some other time.
“I urge everyone who believed in me or not, to remain calm and refrain from any act which could inflame passion or create tension in the Amenfi East Municipality,” he said.
Mr Kumah further congratulated his competitor for his nomination and wished him the best of luck in his confirmation as the MCE nominee for Amenfi East.
