The Minister for Communications, Edward Omane Boamah, has urged Ghanaians to report poor service quality by Communication Service Providers to two designated platforms.
Complaints made on the two platforms - complaints@nca.org.gh and 0307 011419 - according to the Minister, would assist investigation into difficulties encountered by electronic data and voice communication users.
The Minister revealed these in a Christmas message to Ghanaians on Sunday.
Below is the full statement.
CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM THE MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS
As the year, 2013, gradually rolls over to a new one, 2014, the Ministry of Communications looks back at what has been accomplished in the past one year to ensure the ubiquitous availability of ICT infrastructure and services in the country to enable us communicate among ourselves and make our nation great and strong.
On this occasion therefore, the Ministry invites all Ghanaians to enjoy the Christmas and New Year and share the joy with dear ones, both far and near.
May the Season fill up our lives with love, compassion, tolerance, peace and happiness.
The Communications Service Providers have given undertaking to the observance of good quality of communications services and the National Communications Authority (NCA) has also put in place elaborate arrangements to prevent the interruption of communications services.
I therefore entreat each and everyone to avail himself or herself of the opportunity to report quality of service complaints to: complaints@nca.org.gh or to call the telephone number: 0307 011419 should you encounter difficulties with both electronic data and voice communication.
We salute all stakeholders especially the general public for your patronage of voice and data services because it is your contributions that has made Ghana one of the most dynamic ICT countries in the world, according to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
EDWARD KOFI OMANE BOAMAH (DR) MINISTER
