Safari Valley Resort, a luxury eco-park nestled in the heart of the Okere District in the Eastern Region, came alive on Saturday, May 10, 2025, as it hosted an unforgettable Mother’s Day celebration in partnership with JoyFM.
The event, dubbed “Day Out with Mama,” was a perfect blend of nature, entertainment, and heartfelt appreciation.

Families arrived in high spirits, ready for a day packed with fun and relaxation. Guests were welcomed with cozy bus tours around the resort, offering a front-row seat to the scenic beauty and wildlife for which Safari Valley is famed.
The adventure kicked off at the Avian Camp, a paradise for bird lovers, where guests were introduced to a variety of exotic birds in their natural habitat.

The journey continued to the Hevea Camp, named after the scientific name of the rubber tree, which dominates that part of the resort. This area featured some of the park’s most exciting wildlife species.

Next was the Siemia Camp, another animal enclave, giving patrons a closer look at the rich biodiversity the resort proudly protects.

The celebration reached its peak at the event grounds, where guests were treated to a lavish buffet featuring a mouth-watering spread of local and continental dishes, along with refreshing traditional drinks.

One of the most touching moments at the event grounds came when participants were invited to share their most cherished memories about their mothers.
These heartfelt tributes brought smiles and a few tears, creating a deeply emotional atmosphere. To crown it, each participant received thoughtful gifts as a token of appreciation, a special gesture to honour the mothers in attendance.

As families dined and relaxed, the vibrant sounds of Ghanaian highlife filled the air, courtesy of the ever-energetic Kwan Pa Band, who kept spirits high and feet tapping throughout the afternoon.
JoyFM’s live coverage brought the energy of the celebration to those who could not attend, while lucky guests created lasting memories with their mothers in one of the Eastern Region's most serene natural settings.

This year’s “Day Out with Mama” was not just a getaway; it was a heartwarming tribute to the queens of our lives.
