News of famous Nigerian Preacher Temitope Balogun Joshua's death has thrown many individuals into a state of shock.
The death of the televangelist and founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) was confirmed by the church in a statement on Sunday morning.
According to the church, “On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.”

It regrettably announced that “God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.
His followers who have been taken aback by the news have taken to social media to express their surprise at the news as well as extended their message of condolences.
Others are also reliving memories of the affable preacher who, over his lifetime, gained massive love from his church members.
The passing of my brother TB Joshua saddens me deeply. At 3.00am this morning I was told by one of his daughters that this was fake news & I tweeted as much. Sadly I was misled. 5 minutes ago the same person called me & confirmed the story. @GazetteNGR was right & I am in pain. pic.twitter.com/g6C1XhPKLB
