The listening public has taken to social media to react to the Agriculture Minister’s assertion that, one can get a bunch of plantains from between ¢3 to ¢5.
Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto said at a press briefing on Thursday that food prices in the markets are at an all-time low, compared to 24 years ago when a bunch of plantains could be bought for ¢40.

However, Ghanaians who have patronised markets in cities and towns across the country say otherwise.
I am living in a farm settlement in the eastern region called Ayimesu, Upper Manya to be precise. I n bought a bunch of plantain for 20gh how much more someone in Accra? The minister should stop deceiving Ghanaians
