The Board Chairperson of the Ghana Sports Fund, Prof. Koryoe Anim, has declared that the true measure of the Fund’s success will not lie in strategy papers, but in visible transformation across Ghana’s sports facilities and athlete development systems.
Speaking during a strategic training engagement sponsored by GCB Bank PLC at the Alisa Hotel, Prof. Anim emphasised that the Board is committed to delivering measurable outcomes.

“We already have a comprehensive strategic plan," she noted. “Embedded within it are clear benchmarks that will allow us to assess progress objectively.”
According to her, the administrator and staff have been working diligently to mobilise resources and close funding gaps critical to implementation.
“The Fund cannot operate in isolation. It requires the support of government allocations, corporate Ghana, institutions, and individuals who believe in the transformative power of sports.”
Prof. Anim stressed that once adequate funding is mobilised, reforms and infrastructure improvements will follow swiftly.
“Success must be visible in improved facilities, stronger athlete pathways, and enhanced governance structures.”
Describing sports as a unifying national force, she reaffirmed the Board’s determination not to disappoint Ghanaians. “We understand the expectations. We will not let this mandate down.”
