Fire destroyed an Opel Astra Taxi at the Spintex Junction in Accra in the early hours of Tuesday.
The incident occurred after the driver, Isaac Antwi detected smoke from the engine of the car.
Attempts to quench the flame proved futile; causing traffic on that section of the road until a team of Police men came in to direct traffic.
Isaac told Joy News' Beatrice Adu, he was returning from a nearby fuel station where he had gone to purchase fuel after attending the watch night service to usher in the new year, when he noticed the smoke from the engine.
