The Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA) was hosted by the holy Ghost Temple of International Central Gospel Church in Fafraha, Adenta, at a thanksgiving service to celebrate the successful completion of the 1st Ghana Tree Crops Investments Summit, Exhibition, and Awards 2026.
The event, which took place from February 17th to 20th, brought together stakeholders from the tree crops industry, including farmers, investors, and government officials from Ghana and abroad.
The summit aimed to promote investment in Ghana's tree crops sector and celebrate excellence in the industry.

During the thanksgiving service, TCDA staff led by CEO Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, sang songs of praise and worship, and participated in the praises session. Prophet Yaw Annor, the ministering prophet, called on the congregation to pray for the TCDA staff, acknowledging the team's dedication and hard work in making the summit a success.
Following the service, the TCDA team paid a courtesy call on the leadership of the Holy Ghost Temple, where they were warmly received.
Dr. Okrah briefed the church leadership on the TCDA's vision, aim, and mandate, highlighting the authority's plans to develop three major crops - cashew, coconut, and rubber - in the Bono, Bono East, Savannah regions etc.

He announced plans to distribute 3 million cashew seedlings and 2 million rubber seedlings to farmers, provide free farm inputs, and offer matching grants to support processing.
Dr. Okrah called on the church, other religious bodies, security services etc to take advantage of these opportunities and requested for their continued support and prayers.
The church leadership, including Prophet Christopher Yaw Annor, welcomed the TCDA team and pledged their support. Mrs. Annor, the prophet's wife, advised the TCDA to use the grants for their intended purposes, while Prophet Annor encouraged the team to persevere, citing the example of Tetteh Quashie, who introduced cocoa to Ghana.
The TCDA has expressed its gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the summit and looks forward to continued partnership in developing Ghana's tree crops sector.
