Global AI-powered Technology Brand, TECNO, a subsidiary of Transsion Holdings has been named Global Partner of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 and TotalEnergies CAF AFCON in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2027.
This renewed partnership comes after a successful collaboration between TECNO and CAF during the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations held in Cote d’Ivoire in 2023, where the former served as the exclusive smartphone sponsor for the competition.
Announcing this landmark partnership in Kenya Nairobi, CAF General Secretary, Véron Mosengo-Omba said “The impressive growth and success of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations has resulted in several exciting sponsorship agreements being concluded by CAF with African and international partners. The partnership with TECNO will contribute to the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, which is the biggest sporting event in Africa, continuing to grow and reach new markets and audiences. On behalf of CAF and its 54 Member Associations, we would like to thank TECNO for investing in African football.”

Vice President of Transsion Holdings, Benjamin Jiang speaking on behalf of the brand said “This renewed partnership is a testament to the deep trust and shared success we have built with CAF. In our previous collaboration, we witnessed how football ignited passion and inspired dreams, and how AI-powered smart technologies became powerful tools to connect and empower millions across Africa. “
“That is why this partnership goes beyond the game, it stands as a symbol of ambition and a platform where young people can shine, united by an unstoppable spirit of progress. It reflects our shared vision of harnessing AI-driven innovation to shape a brighter future for Africa. This renewed collaboration marks a significant milestone in TECNO’s journey forward “ he added.

Through this two–year partnership, TECNO will continue to reinforce its pan-African vision and digital innovation leadership commitment to inspire, empower, and connect millions across the continent through technology and sport.
Flying the “Stop at Nothing” tenet, TECNO will continue its “Dream Field Renovation” campaign which was launched in collaboration with CAF in 2024 with the goal of renovating 100 football fields across Africa by 2028. An initiative aimed to promote healthy living, foster youth engagement and ensure access to quality playing fields in underserved communities.
