Telecel Ghana Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Telecel Ghana and Viamo, a global leader in mobile engagement have both reaffirmed their partnership with the relaunch of the free 321 service.
The 321 service, a flagship initiative supported by the Telecel Ghana Foundation, has been pivotal in providing accessible and valuable information to people in all regions across the country, including those without smartphones or internet access.
This joint initiative demonstrates their commitment to delivering life-enhancing information to underserved communities in five local languages: Ga, Twi, Ewe, Hausa and Dagbani.
This service aims to promote inclusion and bridge the digital divide in underserved communities.
Available in 24 other markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, the 321 service allows Telecel users to dial 321 on their mobile phones to access a wealth of information on critical topics such as health, agriculture, education, and financial literacy for free.
Rita Agyeiwaa Rockson, Head of the Telecel Foundation, underlined the relevance of this partnership in driving sustainable development.

“We are proud to continue our collaboration with Viamo to bring essential information to people who need it the most. Our partnership is a testament to our shared vision of using technology as a tool for social good and community upliftment,” she said.
Seyram Fiakegbe, Viamo’s Platform Manager, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the impact of their ongoing collaboration.
“Our continued partnership with the Telecel Foundation through the 321 service demonstrates our dedication to bridging the digital divide and ensuring that everyone, regardless of their location or technological capabilities, can access important and transformative information,” she added.
As part of their ongoing commitment, Viamo and the Telecel Foundation are also excited to announce the upcoming launch of a Generative AI voice assistant in Q1 of 2025.
This advanced feature will further enhance the 321 service by bringing the power of generative AI to the fingertips of customers to make the 321 service more interactive and personalised.
Telecel Foundation and Viamo said they remain dedicated to leveraging mobile technology to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities.
Through their continued partnership and innovative solutions, they contribute significantly to building a more informed, empowered, and connected society.
