As part of its contributions toward the fight to contain and prevent the spread of the coronavirus, Twellium Industrial Company has donated products worth thousands of Ghana cedis to frontline health workers, the Ghana Police Service, hospitals, and government institutions including the Ministry of Gender.
Explaining the motive behind the mass donation by the company, the Chief Marketing Officer, Ali Ajami said it was important for these institutions and individuals to receive all the necessary help and support during these hard times.
According to him, before the virus was recorded in Ghana, Twellium Industrial Company was already donating to various institutions through its ‘Verna Changing Lives’ campaign and therefore does not intend to stop giving back to society, especially when there is a call on all to come on board.

"A couple of years ago when we were looking for a place to invest, Ghanaians received us with open arms and have been good to us individually and as a company.
"If today, the Covid-19 pandemic has found its way into the four corners of the country, we will not turn our backs on the same people who supported our industrialization mission and continue to patronize our products on a daily basis.
“Our message is to affirm our solidarity, and the mission is to pledge our allegiance to Ghanaians, that, we shall fight this pandemic together, irrespective of where you stand or where you work as a Ghanaian, we are bringing help to your doorstep in this trying times.”
The products which included Verna mineral water, London oat digestive, Rush energy drink and many others aim at ‘hydrating and energizing every foot soldier helping in the fight against the COVID-19.’

According to Mr. Ajami, a team from the company will also be visiting all checkpoints and roadblocks that have security personnel on duty to donate more items individually.
“Twellium Foundation will be visiting next, the various security and health personnel who are at post 24/7 to check human and cargo traffic in order to contain the spread. A hydrated body and a well-nourished person can work better and that is why we have taken it upon ourselves to help our front line workers.
He also added that measures have been put in place to ensure the distribution of products to individuals who might be economically affected by the 14 days lockdown that has been issued by President Akufo-Addo.

“We are not forgetting the less privileged and some selected communities who have constantly received support from the foundation as well as new communities who will benefit from the foundation due to the hardship that came with this virus and the subsequent lockdown by the President,” Mr Ali Ajami stressed.
