Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has named his squad for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Qualifiers.
Ghana will face Egypt in the final round of the qualifying series for next year’s tournament in Morocco.
Bjorkegren named a 24-woman squad on Thursday, October 16 ahead of the two games against the North African side.
Former Black Princesses duo Sharon Sampson and Helen Alormenu are the two new players included in the squad for the two-legged tie.
Sampson, who plays Swedish side, Pitea, returns to the national team fold after last playing with the Black Princesses at the 2023 U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica.
Alormenu has also been a key part of the squad at Texas State University and will be looking to transfer that form to her maiden call-up to the Black Queens.
The team is mainly made up of the squad that featured at the 2024 WAFCON in Morocco back in July led by captain Portia Boakye.
The Swedish trainer also keeps faith in goalkeepers Cynthia Konlan, Kerrie McCarthy and Afi Amenyeku.
Here is the full squad called up for the game against Egypt:

The first leg against Egypt is on Thursday, October 23, with the return leg scheduled for Accra on October 28.
