Huge crowds are gathering in Sydney in Australia for one of the world's most spectacular New Year's fireworks displays.
Eight tonnes of pyrotechnics will be launched from Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
The BBC spoke to some excited tourists who are eagerly awaiting the iconic display.
"It's iconic because it's the first fireworks in the world and it's the first celebration of the New Year so it's really nice. And it's cool because you have the spot really near and this is amazing, this is amazing," Christopher Maldonado, from Chile, said.

One reveller said they were "feeling so excited" and "can't wait" for the dazzling fireworks display.
"It's been on my bucket list for the last ten years so I'm really excited for the fireworks," he added.
Another told of how they woke up at 03:00 local time to "get the best spot".
"We're just in front of the [Harbour] bridge so it's perfect for us. We are from France so we waited for this moment for a long time," she explained.
