Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy has reaffirmed his country’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations with Ghana, highlighting agriculture, technology, and security as key areas of cooperation.
In a statement, President Zelenskyy noted that both countries share “a mutual interest in developing bilateral cooperation,” and outlined steps already being taken to strengthen the partnership.
“First and foremost,” he said, “we discussed deepening cooperation in the agro-industrial sector and the creation of a food logistics hub in Ghana.”
To build on these discussions, a ministerial-level meeting has been agreed, and a Ukrainian delegation is expected to visit Ghana in the near future to explore implementation pathways.
Zelenskyy also revealed Ghana’s growing interest in Ukraine’s military technologies and wartime expertise, particularly in the development of drones.

“Ghana is interested in our technologies, the production of various types of drones, and the experience Ukraine has gained during this war,” he said.
“Ghana is ready to finance our production, and we are ready to help our partners secure their borders.”
In a gesture aimed at further strengthening diplomatic engagement, President Zelenskyy extended an invitation to President John Dramani Mahama, to visit Ukraine.
