Vision FC defeated Medeama 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, ending a five-game winless streak in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Joshua Rhule opened the scoring for the home side in the 4th minute. They doubled their lead through Frank Duku, finishing the first half with a comfortable advantage.
Sixteen minutes into the second half, Frank Duku missed an opportunity to score the third goal and his second of the game after failing to convert a penalty following an infringement in the box.
Five minutes later, an altercation led to red cards for both sides, leaving them with 10 men each for the remainder of the game.
Medeama took advantage and pulled one back in the 70th minute through Bernadinho Tetteh. Their resilience paid off in the 83rd minute when Michel Sarpong scored the equalizer.
It looked like the game was heading for a draw until Emmanuel Kyei Baffour secured the winning goal deep in added time, earning all three points for Vision FC.
The victory lifts Vision FC out of the relegation zone ahead of their next game against Young Apostles. Meanwhile, Medeama has dropped to fifth in the standings.
