Dreams FC ended FC Samartex’s unbeaten run with a decisive 2-0 victory in a Week 8 Ghana Premier League clash at the Tuba Astro Turf on Sunday.
The win moves the Still Believe lads to 15th on the table with seven points, while Samartex drop to seventh with 13 points.
The home side dominated the game, effectively thwarting Samartex’s attempts to maintain their impressive form.
Dreams FC broke the deadlock through Seidu Suraj’s strike in the 29th minute before Jonathan Nemorden sealed the win with an 83rd-minute goal.
Despite Samartex’s best efforts to find a way back into the contest, Dreams FC’s defense remained resolute, ensuring they secured a clean sheet.
Winfred Dormon’s side will travel to face Karela United next Sunday, while Samartex host Swedru All Blacks on the same day.
