Three people were killed and several others injured in a fatal road accident involving a minibus and two other vehicles on the Bekwai-New Edubiase Road on Wednesday (August 13) night.

Adom TV's Isaac Normanyo reported that the crash occurred at Kyiraburoso, near Adansi Asokwa, after an O.A. mini bus carrying 14 passengers ran into a faulty Kia truck that was reportedly being towed by a tanker.
The mini bus, with registration number AS 8914-22, was travelling towards Adansi Asokwa.
According to Fomena District Police CCommander DSPSamson Wunyi Mumuni, police received information about the incident late in the night and immediately dispatched a team to the scene.
"Upon our arrival, we gathered that the mini bus, which was heading from Accra towards Obuasi, collided with a faulty Kia truck that was in its lane. The Kia truck was being towed by a tanker that was also on its way to Assin Fosu," DSP Mumuni stated.
The collision resulted in the deaths of three occupants of the mini bus, with several other passengers sustaining various degrees of injury. The police commander confirmed that investigations into the exact cause of the accident are underway.
