Several buildings have either collapsed or have their roofs ripped off during the rainstorm. At least two persons have been confirmed dead with many others injured.

Assemblyman for the area, Moses Akankeele confirmed to Joy News that one of the deceased is a five-year-old girl. The other victim, a security guard, was killed while asleep on duty. He was supposed to be providing security for a school building at the time of the incidence.
Mr Akankeele who has toured some of the affected communities with officials of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) said he is unable to confirm when relief items would arrive for the victims.

“We are still going around the communities to assess the level of damage,” Akankeele said.
