Takoradi SHS scored 25 points to reduce WASS, a fierce opponent just a year ago to nothing more than staring at the exit door.
Sogakope SHS who also featured in the contest has been eliminated as well.
A disappointing result for the Adentan-based school, they must now go back to basics if they would feature in the 2020 competition.
The tempo throughout the contest was poor, a significant notice is their scoring zero points out of ten in Round Three, known as Problem of the Day.
They, however, picked up pace in the subsequent round which required contestants to confirm the veracity or otherwise of statements given them.
But Tadisco, who were leading the contest then, did not relax and picked up enough points to maintain their lead.
In the last round, four riddles were read to the contestants simultaneously for a maximum of 20 points.
Takoradi SHS picked two of those to kill the game despite the two challengers sharing the other two.
The final scores were: Takoradi SHS, 25pts; WASS, 18pts; Sogakope SHS, 16pts.
