The young guns continued to impress in their respective leagues as a Bayern Munich II forward made his debut in the list. Here are five standout Ghanaian players from the weekend as picked by the Joy Sports Owuraku Ampofo.
Samuel Tetteh - Lask Linz
After coming from the bench in the last six games, Samuel Tetteh started against Wolfsberger.
He repaid the coach’s confidence by scoring a well taken goal with his left foot inside the penalty box.
Tetteh, 23, was taken off with two minutes remaining as he had picked up a yellow card in the second half.
He now has four goals for the season and his side Lask Linz are just two points off the top of the Austrian Bundesliga.
Mohammed Dauda – Esbjerg
On-loan Mohammed Dauda scored his second league goal as his side Esbjerg lost 2-1 at SønderjyskE on Sunday.
The 21-year-old striker gave the visitors an early lead in the sixth minute at Sydbank Park but Esbjerg.
Dauda, owned by Belgian side Anderlecht, was making his 10th league appearance for Esbjerg.
The former Kotoko striker has three goals and one assist under his belt this season.
Godfred Donsah - Cercle Brugge
Central midfielder Godfred Donsah had a weekend to remember as he played in three different positions against KRC Genk.
Donsah started out in his favoured central midfield role but later he replaced the injured Omolo in the heart of defence as a center back. After which goalkeeper Hubert got injured after all three substitutions had been made.
Donsah debuted as a goalkeeper and did not concede a goal whilst in post. Despite losing 2-1, the hero for Cercle Brugge was Godfred Donsah.
Kwasi Okyere Wriedt – Bayern Munich II
The 25-year-old striker scored a brace which was not enough as Duisburg defeated Bayern Munich II 3-2.
Kwasi Okyere Wriedt scored from the spot kick to reduce the deficit after their opponents shot into a 2-1 in the first half.
He went on to score his second goal of the game but it served as just a consolation goal.
The Bayern Munich II forward has now scored 12 goals this campaign.
Benjamin Tetteh – Sparta Prague
Benjamin Tetteh continued his good goal scoring form by adding to his tally against Mlada Boleslav.
