Whether it was because of their appearance or an unknown myth, the ‘3 sisters’ socks were very much popular back in the day.
Unlike most of the modern-day socks, they had three layers of lace strips attached to their cuffs.
It was never out of place to see any school girl wear these with matching black shoes.
In fact, not wearing these made you look unstylish and outdated.
These socks were associated with special occasions like the Independence Day Parade, choreographed performances at school or church, wedding ceremonies and other posh events.
Over the years, they have gradually faded out of fashion and are rarely seen these days.
