The Immigration Command in the Ashanti Region has arrested a Chinese national who was put on the wanted-person list for allegedly killing another Chinese national.
Wei Yanwei was arrested at Asankragwa in the Western Region, according to a statement released by the Ghana Immigration Service.
“Wei Yanwei was arrested in the late hours of Tuesday, 12° February 2020 at a hideout at Adiembra, a suburb of Kurnasl in the Ashanti Region through an intelligence-led operation,” the statement indicated.
Wei Yanwei, 25 years old allegedly stabbed to death a Chinese businessman, Lee Buau, at Asankragwa in the Wassa Amenfi West District of the Western Region on 24th January of this year, the Immigration Command stated.

According to the statement, two other accomplices of the suspect who are also Chinese nationals, Li Daojian and Huang Xuwu were picked up by personnel of the Ghana Immigration Service.
“They are currently in the custody of the Ashanti Regional Immigration Command and will be handed over to the Ghana Police Service for the necessary action to be taken," the statement indicated.
