President Akufo-Addo says one of the major factors that will influence the choice of Ghanaians in the upcoming elections is their records.
He said both himself and John Mahama have been at the helm of the country's affairs for at least a term and Ghanaians will judge them based on who has performed best.
"It's not just the manifestos this time. Of course, the manifestos have a role to play but in this case, we both have records and I think that is what will be the influence," he said on Kumasi-based Wontumi FM.
President Akufo-Addo succeeded John Mahama in 2016 after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lost the elections.
Both presidents, however, are seeking another chance in office in the upcoming December elections.
"Ghanaians will examine our works and judge by that," the president stated.
Jabbing his contender, president Akufo-Addo described John Mahama as the worst-performing president in the past 30 years, adding that Ghanaians will give him the nod based on his track records.
He further urged Ghanaians who are yet to register in the ongoing voter registration exercise not to miss the final phase as it is the only way they can select the leader of their choice.
