Retail shop Shoprite has compensated Joy Business reporter, Fred Duhoe, with a hamper of assorted fruits as compensation for buying fruits gone bad from their shelves while mystery shopping.
Fred Duhoe took to his Facebook post to express concern over his findings.
The shop, upon noticing the Facebook post, got in touch with the journalist to not just apologise but replace the items he had earlier purchased.
The reporter was excited with the swift response management attached to the complaint.
The marketing manager of FruitsMark, suppliers of fruits to Shoprite explained that "we are rewarding you for pointing out our fault. This is what makes us better to deliver the best to our consumers".
