A group of youth supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tema West Constituency have issued a warning to the former MP Naa Torshie and other regional executives of the party.
The group identified as the Concerned Youth of Tema West (CYTW) has called on the national executives of the party caution the Regional Minister, Ishmael Ashitey, Regional Chairman, Divine Agorhum, Regional Second Vice Chairperson Joan Ada and the former MP.
They have accused them of stop scheming and planting negative stories in some selected newspapers against the current MP Carlos Ahenkorah.
“We are sending a strong warning to them to stay away from Carlos. Internal elections are over! What crime has the man committed for them to hate him so much"?, they quizzed.
At a press conference, CYTW disclosed that, "we are reliably informed about all their plans to make Carlos unpopular and later send a petition to the National Council and NEC to get him change.
"This agenda is orchestrated and sponsored by Agorhum, Ashitey, Joana and Torshie".
"But we want to assure them, we the youth of Tema West are solidly behind our Member of Parliament and Parliamentary Candidate Kingsley Carlos Ahenkorah", they added.
It is believed that the Greater Accra Regional Chairman never liked Carlos who did not support his bid to become the Regional Chairman.
He allegedly sponsored a candidate to contest Carlos during the just ended parliamentary primaries who lost miserably.
Joana Ada also supported and sponsored Kwasi Poku another candidate, who also secured 177 out of the 910 total votes.
