Scottish giants Celtic have expressed interest in signing Christian Atsu from Newcastle this summer.
The Ghana winger was earlier told by Steve Bruce to find a new home after he couldn't assure the player of regular game time this season.
Celtic coach Neil Lennon has been a long-time admirer of the 28-year-old after he tried to sign him for the 51-time Scottish league champions in January.
With Atsu having just one year remaining on his contract, Newcastle will look to balance the books with his sale this summer or risk losing him for free.
The former Chelsea player joined The Magpies in 2016 and went to make 121 appearances for the tyne-wear club scoring eight and assisting ten goals.
