Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum has revealed they will soon come out with a plan for the new season.
The season is set to start in October after President Akufo-Addo lifted the ban on football amid coronavirus pandemic.
The President announced on Sunday that the Ghana Premier League and other domestic competitions will start on October 30.
“We will look into it again, the competitions department of the GFA will sit down with the medical committee and come out with a proper plan and that will also be considered by the Executive Council,” Henry told Citi Sports.
“In the coming days, we will roll out a plan and make it known to the public,” he concluded.
Football will return under strict protocols as the virus is still around. Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare has warned that there will be punishment for clubs, who fail to comply.
“The clubs will be camped at a venue to avoid contracting the virus after they are tested. Supporters must adhere to all the protocols; washing and sanitizing of hands, wearing of nose mask, and observing social distancing.
“By doing this, the risk associated will be minimized reason why we allowed for 25% of spectators at the stadium. Clubs that fail to enforce the protocols will have their venues closed by the GFA”, the presidential advisor on health said in an interview with Kumasi FM.
