Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu has dismissed claims of owning an account on social media platform, Facebook.
His comment comes after a page on Facebook with his name accused the 2020 NDC Presidential candidate, John Mahama of masterminding actions that would bring destroy the image of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The page further insinuated that the former statesman asked the party's Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi to attack Speaker Alban Bagbin and other NDC leaders in Parliament.

However, the Member of Parliament for Tamale South constituency in a document sighted by JoyNews debunked the allegations.
"My attention has been drawn to a story published on a Facebook page of 'Hon. Haruna Iddrisu' dated 5th March 2021 in which I am alleged to have accused the former President of a number of things including a reference to him as a coward.
"For the record, I wish to state that the said Facebook account does not belong to me and that I have never owned a Facebook account neither have I caused any such account to be opened and operated in my name," he stated.
Mr Iddrisu further indicated that he is not an active social media participant hence, the account purported to be in his name is fake and so is the said post.
The Minority leader, through the statement, urged the executives and supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress to dismiss and treat the said allegations leveled against former President Mahama with the contempt it deserves.
Mr. Iddrisu described the post as mere attempts made by detractors and rivals of the NDC meant "to sow seeds of discontent within the hierarchy of the party" and tarnish his reputable image.
"I have no doubt that the truth will always prevail," he concluded.
