Five people are feared dead while 15 others have sustained various degrees of injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in was involved in an accident on the Tema-Accra motorway.
The Sprinter bus with registration number GR 6117-20, according to an eyewitness, fell into a ditch at about 6:30 am this morning after the tyre of the bus burst open around the weighing bridge area.
The vehicle then somersaulted and fell into a nearby ditch.

According to the eyewitness, some of the passengers said the driver of the bus was overspeeding and failed to heed their warnings to slow down.
He said five persons died on the spot while many others sustained various degrees of injuries.
The injured have been transported to the Tema General Hospital for treatment.

The police and officers of the Ghana National Ambulance Service were on the scene to help the victims.
Meanwhile, the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service has disclosed that 263 people lost their lives in road crashes in April.
According to the latest statistics, the figure represents a marginal increase in the number of deaths each month, since the beginning of the year.
It brings to total 1,034 the number of fatalities on the road between January and April this year.
