The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have postponed the 2022 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers scheduled for June 2021 due to the challenges caused by Covid-19.
CAF admits that pre-match testing had become a challenge and there was a need for reassessment of Covid-19 protocols and processes before qualifiers could resume.
The rescheduled qualifiers will now be played during the international windows of September, October and November 2021, and March 2022.
Ghana were expected to play Ethiopia in Cape Coast before traveling to face South Africa in the June qualifiers.
CAF is yet to announce the full details of the new match schedule.
