Members of the youth wing of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Inter-Party Resistance Against the New Voters Register (IPRAN), a group made up of six other political parties have embarked on a demonstration on Tuesday.
The protest dubbed, "March for Justice" is to petition President Akufo-Addo and the leadership of Parliament against what they call “the growing levels of insecurity, lawlessness and impunity” under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration. Especially, in the wake of military brutalities recorded in the past week.

Two people were shot dead and four got injured after the military clashed with some protesting youth in Ejura on June 29, following the murder of a social activist in the town.
Again on Thursday, July 1, soldiers were seen in a video brutalising some residents of Wa in the Upper West Region.

Their action is said to have been triggered by an alleged theft of a mobile phone supposedly belonging to one of the military officers.
The incident left many injured.

The opposition parties who are unpleased with the occurrences have accused President Akufo-Affo of filling vacancies in the country's security agencies with his vigilantes.

They also called on the President, in his capacity as the Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, to call his personnel to order.
