After a successful entry into the music industry with the release of over five singles including ‘Jealousy’ and ‘Bottom Power’, afrobeat/highlife artiste, Stone Gee, has earned two nominations at this year’s Crystal Entertainers and Achievement Awards (CEAA).

The Awards scheme celebrates creative industry personalities who have distinguished themselves in the practice of their art during the 2020 eligibility year.

The scheme covers areas such as sports, music, film, fashion, photography, media, and comedy, among others.

Stone Gee, who is expected to release his much anticipated single, ‘Bad Friends’ featuring Okyeame Kwame, has been nominated in the Afrobeat Act of the Year and Next Rated Act of the Year categories.

For many who knew what Stone Gee could do, it wasn’t a surprise that he got two nominations. It will also not be a surprise if he walks home with one or even two awards from the ceremony to be held later in the year.

The artiste born Kwame Ayi Kwaw yesterday lauded Gavali Records for bringing him into the limelight and promised his fans of winning at least an award at the awards ceremony.

“I urge all my fans to vote for Stone Gee for Afrobeat Act of the Year and Next Rated Act of the Year,” he said.

He, however, expressed his profound gratitude to God and all his fans home and abroad for the immense support he has had since joining the Ghanaian music industry.

“I am saying a big thanks to God for His support. I also thank my fans for their loyalty and support all these years,” he said.

The talented artiste, who attributes his success to hard work, promised to work tirelessly to promote his music on the global market.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Gavali Records, Richard Essien, known in the showbiz scene as Magic Rocker, disclosed that “Gavali Records positioned Stone Gee at a very strategic point where he will merit numerous nominations like next year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), 4stye Music Video Awards among others.”

In an interview, he said the singer deserves to win the two awards because of his hard work.
