Police in Sawla in the Sawla Tuna Kalba District of the Savannah Region, have mounted a manhunt for a 31-year-old suspect known as Agaza of Gindabor, for the murder of 30-year-old Herdsman, Adama Dauda at Tuna.
JoyNews' sources in Tuna indicated that, the deceased, on the eve of the Eid Ul Adha festivity, patronised a community dance night and was confronted by the suspect and subjected to severe beatings until he became unconscious and was rushed to the Upper West Regional Hospital in Wa, where he died while receiving treatments.
The Tuna Kalba District Police Commander , ASP Adjei Degraft-Armah, in recounting the incident to JoyNews, said a complainant by name, Naa Wonebe called at the Tuna Police Station in the company of the Assembly Man for Tuna Electoral Area, Thomas Bamuru and reported that his 30-year-old Herdsman, Adama Dauda attended a dance at the community and was beaten up by one Agaza of Gindabor and was rushed to Wa Government Hospital but died and the body deposited at the morgue of the facility.

"Police accompanied by the complainant, proceeded to Wa Government Hospital and found a male adult aged about 30 years of Fulani extraction whose name was given as Adama Dauda, lying on a slab dead".
"It could be that the two clashed over a Woman. So, we can't rule out that aspect too.
Agaza, the suspect is not a farmer that we will say maybe, the deceased left his cattle to graze on his farm. But during this festive season, some of them do get drunk and would be misbehaving" ASP Adjei Degraft -Armah explained.
He bemoaned the level of insecurity in the area, adding that, "Yes, I know you can't change certain mentality over night but this murder brings the number of such cases in the same enclave to three in three Months.

So, I will not give up but intensify my "Meet The Community Engagement" agenda with the Chiefs and People for a behavioral change".
A Postmortem was conducted on the body. Injuries were found on the deceased's head. The body has since been released to the bereaved family for burial.
ASP Adjei Degraft -Armah said his officers are on the ground and will definitely hunt down suspect Agaza, who is on the run.
