Ghana has lost some 18 more persons in the past 48 hours to Covid-19.
In its latest update, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) reported that the death toll as of August 7, stands at 892. This is as against the 874 deaths recorded as of August 5, this year.
The active cases currently being reported nationwide are 6,765. Out of this figure, 87 persons are said to be in severe condition while 16 cases are critical.
Meanwhile, with 345 new cases recorded, the country's total confirmed cases stand at 109,022.

Despite the worrying trend in cases, about 101,365 persons have recovered and have been discharged.
The Greater Accra Region alone reported about 3,141 active cases.
