Joy FM listeners vote Henry Quartey as best Minister

With the year coming to an end, discerning listeners of Joy FM have ranked the Ministers of State supporting President Akufo-Addo to steer the country's affairs.

The listeners who called into the Super Morning Show rated the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey as the best appointee of the year.

On the other hand, Food and Agriculture Minister; Owusu Afriyie-Akoto, Health Minister, Kweku Agyeman-Manu, and Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta were named the worst performing Ministers.

One of the callers, Hamzah, explained that the Finance Minister has increased the country’s debt stock, thereby weakening the economy.

He accused Mr Agyeman-Manu of deceiving the populace regarding the procurement of the Covid-19 vaccines.

According to him, transparency and accountability must be the hallmark of every leader.

Another caller also commended the works of the Greater Accra Region Minister.

He believed that should every minister emulate the patriotic service of Mr Quartey; Ghana will chalk many developmental achievements.

“The Greater Accra Regional Minister is doing well, but unfortunately, when should he leave, everything will go back factory setting,” he stated.

After being appointed as Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr Quartey launched a ‘Let’s make Accra work’ campaign.

So far, he has successfully relocated the onion sellers at the Agbogbloshie market to the Adjen Kotoku. Among other initiatives, the Regional Minister seeks to decongest the capital and make it clean, improve the drainage system, thus, changing the perennial floods that torment residents of Accra.
