The First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, US Ambassador to Ghana, Stephanie Sullivan and renowned media personality, Doreen Andoh, are among women listed as 100 Outstanding Female Changemakers from across the country.
Humanitarian Awards Global's list celebrates women who are humanitarians, media personalities, businesswomen, artists and political leaders changing the status quo in Ghana and, in some cases, globally.
According to Wisdom Dordoe, one of the organisers of the Award, "They are women who are reshaping history, closing inequalities, and pioneering new avenues of wealth creation and in turn, lifting others with them to make the world a better place."

"Among the 100 incredible female changemakers on the list are the formidable women who continue to use their voices and platforms to champion girls and women’s rights, access to quality education, and economic opportunities," he said.
He said those "who appear on the list are recognised for doing something to change the world – regardless of the consequences of their actions."
Mr Dordoe explained that the criteria for selection included humanitarian impacts, consistency, excellence in leadership and performance, personal accomplishments, commitment to sharing knowledge, and breaking the status quo.
